TALKS & PRESENTATIONS:

As a further part of the DRAWASSIC outreach program we are keen to offer talks & presentations on animation & animation-related drawing from time to time in the Pacific Northwest. Below is a slideshow presentation of the talk given by Tony White on behalf of AIE at Seattle's EMP on Saturday, June 13th 2015. This was as part of the launch event for the EMP's wonderful "What's Up Doc" exhibition - featuring the life and works of Chuck Jones and Warner Brothers. The video below is primarily a mute version of the lecture in a slideshow format and does not include the anecdotal stories & side commentaries that Tony made during his 1-hour talk on the day. It does include all the core visual text that Tony shared with his audience - plus the various movie elements with sound...

STILLS:

Some pictures of Tony's presentation, photographed by Tony's wife Saille...
One fun activity at the fabulous "What's Up Doc" exhibition is for visitors to have a brief personality test - to determine what Warner Brothers' cartoon character you most relate to. A button is given to commemorate the honor! Apparently, Tony's totem character is Bugs Bunny, seen to the right...

Other photo opportunities at the "What's Up Doc' exhibition is for visitors to have their photograph taken with some of the various props seen in Warner Brothers cartoons. Here to the left Tony demonstrates with the 'That's all Folks' log and under the Acme anvil! The Roadrunner seems to approve!

The "What's Up Doc" exhibition runs continuously at Seattle's glorious EMP building until January 2016.
Welcome to our DRAWASSIC AGE!
